Who we are
This website is operated by The Reservoir Lounge, 52 Wellington St E, Toronto, ON M5E 1E3. Questions about this policy can be sent to thereservoirlounge@gmail.com.
Reservation requests
When you send a reservation request through our form, we collect what you type into it: your name, email address, phone number (optional), party size, preferred date and time, and any special requests. We use it only to reply to you and to manage your booking.
The form delivers your request to us by email through Formspree (formspree.io), a form-processing service, which also sends you an automatic confirmation. Formspree's documentation says it retains submissions in its dashboard for as long as our account is active. We keep reservation emails only for as long as we need them to manage your booking and our business records.
Analytics (only if you accept)
We may use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use this site: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, what kind of device they use, and how they arrived (for example, from our Instagram or Facebook page). This uses cookies set by Google, and the data is processed by Google, which may store it in the United States or other countries.
Analytics only ever runs if you choose Accept on our cookie notice. If you choose Decline, nothing from Google Analytics or Tag Manager is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
Other services that see your visit
To show you this site, your browser connects to services run by others, which receive technical information such as your IP address:
- Our web host, IONOS, which serves this website and keeps standard server logs.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the site's typeface.
- Google Sheets, where we keep this week's schedule and announcements, which your browser reads when you open those pages.
- Google Maps, which draws the map on the Contact page.
Links to Instagram and Facebook take you off this site. Those services have their own privacy policies, and they see you only if you click through.
What stays in your browser
We keep two small items in your own browser, neither of which is sent to us: a note that you closed an announcement (so it does not reappear during your visit) and, if analytics is switched on, your cookie choice, remembered for up to a year so we do not keep asking.
Your choices
- Change your cookie choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer, or block and delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing thereservoirlounge@gmail.com.
- If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca. Visitors in Quebec, the EU or the UK may have additional rights under local law; contact us and we will respond.
Age
Guests must be 19 or older to enter The Reservoir Lounge, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information, for example by adding another measurement tool, we will update this page and the date at the top.
