Back in time - here today...

During 1997, Toronto had taken on a level of energy and culture unlike anything from the earlier years of the 90's.

After a long spell of recessionary blues felt by many in Greater Toronto, Torontonians had finally reached a level of confidence in the economy. A flurry of spending ensued in the years to follow for dining, entertainment, fashion, and travel.

Situated at a Toronto landmark place, jazz is no stranger to this location. Nearly Twenty years ago, as an internationally acclaimed jazz cafe in the 1980's, this venue has been home to hundreds of world-class jazz performers.

Many years later, new owners established the Reservoir Lounge where they gave re-birth to a style of music - swing jazz, which was gaining popularity again swiftly across North America.

The rebirth of Swing Jazz had hit Toronto by storm with the Reservoir Lounge as the host venue.
